I had my first intervention with a political reporter at IBN 7. Well he seemed to be that old uncle personality who will never let you enter your house if by mistake your ball entered while playing there.I was referred to him by another by another senior anchour who use to handle cricket and as soon as he came to know that I'm a person intersted in political reporting he called me up and now the intervention started.

I never knew where to start from and what all to tell but I still started frm the results of the last Lok Sabha Elections) Well , Sir there has been a shift towards development agenda's and secularism in the country.(I meant to say that the agenda's have changed)

I tried to defend myself by telling Im just 18.But the answer came U are in the college frm one and half years you dont know that .I started wondering frm Whn I joined a BA (Political Science ) course.Well he continued "Kahan ke rehne waale ho"
I said"Dad Rajasthan main hain aur main Indore main Pada"He shot it back to me"Kiski rajdhani thi Indore" I knew the answer but still in a low voice replied "Holkar"once again "Who were they" I said "Kings"He asked "Usse pehle kya the" Well a regular answer(Sir jhuka ke)"nahi maloom"..Reply came "Pado mujhe afsos hai tumhaari knowledge bahut kam hai" I atlast asked "Sir, kya padoon"...Reply "Start with 8 9 10 ki Ncert history civics" I thought "No I cnt read those boring books I would have hated reading that in Xams how can now"...I thought it a better option to say buh bye to him and in a respectable manner with folded arms and came back.
I wamted to tell him tht Arnab Goswami is 35 if he started reading politics at 10 thn also you could have been a Editor-In-Chief much before him but I never wanted to end my internship the same day .But still I cnt link up Holkar Existence with Politics and the fact that to be a good reporter you have to learn all the names frm Samudragupta I II II IV and many more like that...But Im gonna do tht Im buying literature book and read it wnt take a month whats in giving a try..Waise bhias such we are very busy in Simc.
